Korea Meteorological Administration Net Zero National Meteorological Center
Korea Meteorological Administration Net Zero National Meteorological Center
The Korea Meteorological Administration's Carbon Neutral National Meteorological Center sets a new standard for sustainable design. The National Meteorological Center becomes the first public building in the country to achieve NET ZERO, establishing a new landmark in sustainable architecture. To flexibly respond to future climate changes, the Korea Meteorological Administration will introduce passive energy technologies and innovative solutions. By using CLT as the main material, the center will reduce carbon emissions during construction and minimize the use of energy-intensive materials. This will create a natural aesthetic and a healthy indoor environment, enhancing the productivity and well-being of employees. By using low-carbon steel (LCS) made from recycled iron, carbon emissions will be significantly reduced compared to traditional steel manufacturing through the use of scrap, improved energy efficiency, and carbon capture technology.
