The new data center, constructed after demolishing the existing building, is a 3-story underground and 9-story aboveground facility. The first and second floors are designated as office spaces, while the third to ninth floors house the data center. Notably, the project proposed a method to retain the underground exterior walls of the existing building and utilize them as retaining structures, significantly reducing the permitting period and construction costs. This innovative idea won the design proposal competition. With its symbolic and harmonious façade design, the building transcends the conventional image of data centers and is poised to become a new landmark in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
